We welcome visits to the nursery from all prospective parents and carers. We conduct weekly Nursery Tours; please call to reserve a place! If you like the look of us, please register – this is without charge, but it ensures your interest has been recorded and we can contact you when it comes to offering places.
If you accept our offer, we will ask you to complete our enrolment form and return to us, along with a deposit cheque to secure your place.
Priority is given to siblings, so please register your interest early.
We accept children from two years old into our Caterpillar group. We would advise starting with a three-session week (9.00-12.00 noon), especially if this is your child’s first experience of being away from home, although the more adventurous may opt for the full five days.
Caterpillars evolve into Butterflies – our 3-4 year old children. For continuity and maximum exposure to the EYFS curriculum, we request children attend every morning. The Butterflies stay until 12.15pm or they can bring a packed lunch (no nuts please) and stay until 3.00pm, Monday to Thursday. (This incurs an extra cost, depending on how many afternoon sessions you require.)
We invoice termly in advance, and fees are calculated by the number of sessions agreed. The termly fee remains the same throughout the academic year, with a slight increase in September. We follow the RBKC school terms, which amount to a 38 week year. Regular attendance – although not mandatory at this stage of your child’s education – is expected, although we do understand if you decide to go away for a long weekend, or take advantage of lower holiday prices during term time. Travel can only extend your horizons in more ways than one and we look forward to hearing of your adventures even if it is a visit to granny. We only request you let us know in advance.
St Peter’s Nursery aims to be affordable to all families. There is a tiered fee structure so the nursery is able to offer subsidised places to families who might not otherwise be able to afford the cost. This is made possible through rent-free premises provided very generously by St Peter’s Hall Charity.
We apply to the RBKC for Minimum Free Entitlement (MFE) funding on behalf of all 3-4 year old children. We also apply for Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) on behalf of eligible children, to access extra funding for resources of benefit to them.
In addition, we also welcome children in receipt of the government’s Two Year Old Funding, to attend free of charge.
